New Rheocast casting facility NRC800 (clamping force; 800 tons)
Affiliated Ube Machinery, Ltd. is in charge of developing Ube machinery products represented by large-scale die-casting machines and injection molding machines.
One of the latest achievements is the New Rheocasting Process, an aluminum semi-solid casting system. Generally, shrinkage defects are generated when molten metal is cast. In the New Rheocasting Process, semi-solid metal is cast into a metal mold and then formed under high pressure to prevent shrinkage, resulting in defectless products.
In the area of plastic injection molding, Ube Machinery has developed large-scale electric-powered injection molding machines characterized by high precision, high cycle rates, and outstanding energy savings. The newly developed "Dieprest® Molding Process" is attracting a great deal of attention from many fields, because it enables the precise opening and closing of molds using its toggle-type mechanism, thus ensuring high surface quality in the formation of lightweight foamed products.
Also, interest in "In-Mold Coating" is increasing. This combines resin molding with coating by injecting both materials into the mold to produce an integrated coating. Many automobile, electric machinery and equipment manufacturers are interested in this novel coating process that does not generate any volatile organic substances.
