Butadiene rubber "UBEPOL®" product lineup

Butadiene rubber "UBEPOL®" product lineup

In the synthetic rubber field, Ube Industries aims to commercialize the world's first polybutadiene using a metallocene catalyst, and we are in the process of marketing the product using pilot samples.

We are also working on the development of a specialty rubber material, an analogue of Ube's proprietary composite rubber "UBEPOL VCR®", in which the reinforcing resin is modified.

Polybutadiene of high-trans structure deforms in response to thermal stimulation. By developing a technology for tailoring its response temperature between 30 and 80ºC, its potential applications has been broadened considerably. It may be used as materials designed to deform at certain temperatures, or as a heat storage material utilizing heat absorption and release during thermal deformation.

In the applications of polyethylene - a mature plastic material - including foods and drugs packaging, the demand for new innovative products has been continuously rising. To meet these demands the optimization of polyethylene materials, and the upgrading of application technology are vital.

Ube has added "Umerit®", a linear low-density polyethylene using a metallocene catalyst, to our product lineup. Ube Industries is capable of supplying products of differentiation and specification by desiging to meet customers needs.
