TOKYO, March 17, 2011_Ube Industries, Ltd. announced today that it is forced to shut down production and shipment of "MEK-Oxime" in a few days. Due to the Pacific Coast of Tohoku Earthquake, there is difficulty in securing methyl ethyl ketone or MEK, the main raw material for MEK-Oxime.
At present, it is impossible to estimate when the shipment will restart. It apologizes for the inconvenience and apprehension that this situation may cause you.
