TOKYO, May 19, 2011_Ube Industries, Ltd. announced today that it will restart its "MEK-Oxime" (Methyl Ethyl Ketone Oxime) operations in June. Production and shipment of MEK-Oxime has been suspended since the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11 due to the difficulty of procuring raw materials, MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone). The company has verified that it can now secure the needed raw materials (MEK), including imported materials.
The company will restart production in early June, beginning at 50% of plant capacity and aiming to reach full capacity soon while responding to customer demand.
Ube Industries would like to state once more its sincere regret for any inconvenience and concern that customers have experienced due to the suspension of production.
