TOKYO, October 25, 2011_ Ube Industries, Ltd. today announced that it is donating ¥10 million in funds for flooding relief in Thailand.
At this time, Ube Industries would like to extend its sincerest condolences to victims of the flooding, and hope for the rapid recovery of areas affected by the flooding.
In addition to the donation by Ube Industries, company subsidiary Ube Chemicals (Asia) Public Co., Ltd. of Thailand has donated relief funds and relief supplies such as drinking water and sandbags. In addition, Ube Chemicals (Asia) is sending company vehicles and employee volunteers to flood areas, to assist with the evacuation of people and transport of relief supplies.
