Water Conservation and Forest Maintenance Initiative

Employees from UBE Group companies participated in an annual water conservation and forest maintenance initiative organized by the Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries Department of Mine City. The purpose of the initiative is to thin overgrown cypress trees and cut down bamboo that chokes forests, to maintain the health of forests around the Akiyoshidai Family Travel Village cabin and camping site. The 101 participants broke into a sweat as they worked hard at thinning trees and cutting down bamboo.
